About Us

P and R Equestrian Centre is a fully licensed, approved, family run riding school situated in Friskney, between Skegness and Boston, in the heart of Lincolnshire. P and R is managed by Pearl who welcomes you to visit the Centre to see the facilities that we offer and to meet the staff and horses. We pride ourselves in offering quality riding/hacking sessions in a safe and relaxed environment, for adults and children of all ages and abilities.

So where do I begin? Well, I will tell you a bit about me first. My name is Pearl Massey. I have always been interested in horses and always wanted to run an Equestrian Centre but thought it would never happen. How wrong was I!

Our Centre is a family run yard. The stables are purpose built, and the Centre sits within 10 Acres of grassland with 9 Brick stables, a common room, huge tack room, feed room and six mobile feed shelters.

We have a 60m x 20m outdoor riding arena and a 40m x 20m grass arena, posted and railed. We have eight horses at the Centre that are suitable for riders of all abilities. Children and beginners/novices start on our steady cobs.

Our horses and ponies are our business partners and our best friends.

We specialise in all aspects of riding, horse care and hacking. Over the last few years we have produced foals of our own.

When you visit P and R Equestrian, You will find a friendly welcoming family. You can join in with every aspect of the riding school, e.g. helping to get the horses down from the fields, brushing and tacking up etc. You will be closely involved in caring and stable management tasks.

If you like a friendly, informal, laid back atmosphere, beautiful, quality happy horses, lovely scenery, and meeting lots of new friends (human and animals) this is equine lover’s paradise.

We provide horse riding set in a quiet corner of the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside. We are only about 9 miles from Skegness Beach.

There are miles of quiet country lanes, and depending on the season there are open fields ideal for hacking and having a good gallop.

Riders are to develop at the pace that suits that suits them and increase their capabilities with simple techniques.

Whatever your level of riding is we can arrange riding and activities to suit you. Our aim is to help your improve and have fun and excitement whilst horse riding. We have a wide range of well-mannered horses and ponies to ride catering all ages, abilities and standard starting from 3 years old.

Our facilities allow us to offer all year round riding. We have ample parking in place and toilet facilities.

As well as hacking and lessons, we are also one of the only riding schools locally who offer leisure driving.
